Jim Buck, Chief Executive Officer and Lead Developer at Twitchy Thumbs Entertainment, became involved with video games at Sony Interactive Studios America eleven years ago. He was solely responsible for the physics of Rally Cross, published in 1997 for PlayStation. Credits include: NBA ‘05 PSP, NFL Gameday 2004 PS2, Twisted Metal 4, Twisted Metal III, CART World Series, and Rally Cross.
Buck will discuss the methods used to develop the physics of Rally Cross and how they were achieved with limited resources available on the PlayStation. He will focus on lessons learned, resourcefulness, and why tricks for “old dogs” are relevant to today’s projects despite advances in technology.
Sponsored by Empty Clip Studios and Incinerator Studios.
